Meet Heather

our President

Heather has a bachelors degree in education from University of Oregon, a masters degree in social work from Portland State University, and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Heather has worked with the SANA Needle Exchange Program through HIV Alliance, Volunteers in Medicine, and The Compassion Center, assisting OMMP patients navigating the process to register. In addition she was a founding board member of the Homeless Empowerment Network, providing outreach to people who were not housed in Eugene. Heather currently works for hospice, providing counseling for those who are dying and their families.

Heather is a mother of four and being closely connected with Forrest (the first tj's kid) and seeing the affect seizures had on him she has a relentless passion and deep commitment to the Forrest Initiative President.
