Meet Dylan
Dylan was a giant 9.5lbs 22.5" long happy baby that loved to rub his blanket on his nose. My first child. I knew nothing about autism. At the age of 2, he never spoke and if he did it was only jibberish. At 3, he was formally diagnosed with classic autism which is now referred to as 'level 3' by today's DSM standards. We put him in every therapy possible, and when aggression appeared, we tried every single pharmaceutical approach possible for 12 years. I lovingly call it med roulette. After one particular bad day of hitting at school, the school called safety officers, security and even the police , a lady I knew within the community introduced me to Stacy and the Forrest initiative. I couldn't believe I hadn't really considered medical marijuana as an option sooner. We were taught to trust our doctors, their medications but not a single one was working for Dylan. If anything, he gained an alarming amount of weight and even thought Dylan doesn't have epilepsy he did have a seizure after coming off the pharmaceutical medications. With doctors supervision and the oils he is doing much better and I truly believe Tjs oils are preventing him from having anymore seizures! He has been on TJs THC for a year and I'm so thankful for this program and amount of support within its community. Now he is doing things I had never dreamed possible, including full conversations when he wants to, he is the manager of his class' greenhouse, doing orders and budgets. We are no longer prisoners in our own home and are even daring to dream about the future again.
